 Seniors:     Our seniors had a bad week with a defeat against Aughnamullen by 1 point on a score of 1-05 to 0-09 and on Saturday we put up a spirited performance against Corduff only to be beaten by 3 points at the end 1-06 to 1-09.

Championship

 Next senior game is this Sunday 11th May were we take on Corduff in Cremartin in the preliminary round of the championship at 3.30 p.m.

 Training:  Will take place as usual on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7.30p.m sharp.

Junior B’s:   The next junior b game is against Donaghmoyne in St Mellans on Wednesday 14th May at 7.30pm

 Junior C’s:   The C team are away to Aughnamullen on Monday evening the 12th of May at 7.30.

 U-16’s:     The U-16s beat Castleblayney last Friday evening on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-07.They play Aughnamullen this evening in Aughnamullen at 7.00pm. Bus leaves Mellans at 5.45pm

 U-12’s:     The U-12’s play Carrickmacross on Saturday 10th of May at 4.00pm. Bus leaves Mellans at 2.30.

U-8’s and U-10’s:     U-8’s and U-10’s training in St Mellans Tuesday evenings from 6.30 – 7.30.

Jubilee Celebrations: Keep free the 1st of June for the official opening of the stand followed by a dance in the Complex to start off our Jubilee celebrations. Music by Gerry Cunningham.

 Any club members who have club related photos or video footage from 1958-Present are asked to forward same to Padraig Treanor (0876294365) or Adrian Sherry (0860437959).  This will greatly assist in production of jubilee memorabilia.

 Clubhouse:  St. Mellans Clubhouse is available for all functions; birthdays, confirmation, first communion, anniversary celebrations, etc. For information or to make a booking contact Gary (086 8368417) Shane(0877999069) Bernard(0862667752) or Neil(0871309477).

 

Ladies:

Training: Senior and Minor training takes place in St Mellans on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6.45p.m

 U-14 and U-16:  Training for u-14’s and u-16’s on Wednesday evening at 7pm in St. Mellans

Training continues as normal .The club would like to thank all who supported their race nite in St Mellans sponsors ,card sellers and parents.This is important to us as it is our only means of fundraising in the year.Your support is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Ellen McMeel who represented the Club in the Rose of Tralee and done us proud.

The club would like to wish the best of luck to Grainne,Rebecca,Rachel,Brid,Natasha,Ellen and Caoimhe who are representing the Club on the Minor Team who play Tyrone in the Ulster Final in Clones this Sunday May 11th at 4pm also Manager Aiden Treanor and Medic Ursula McKenna .Hope you bring home the Silverware.


 

 

Hurling:
Seniors - beaten last Thursday by Monaghan Harps 4-6 to 3-6. Away tonight Thursday to Clontibret with a 7.15 throw-in. Possible re-fixed  Ulster league game this Saturday.
Minors - Defeated by Latton on Sunday evening 4-8 to 1-9. These lads have their final outing on Sunday evening at 5pm in Castleblaney. Players to meet at St Mellans at 3.30.
Under 14s - beaten by Clontibret on Monday. Had a great day on Saturday at the Ulster Feile competition held in Tyrone, narrowly missing out on a place in the division final.
Under 12s - training continues on Mondays at 6.30 in St Mellans. League starting soon so its important that everyone turns out.

 

Handball:

Presentation:    Annual handball presentations takes place in the clubhouse next Friday 9th May at 9pm
