Jubilee Launch: There was a large attendance in St Mellans last Saturday night for the launch of our jubilee year. Guest speakers were Pauric Duffy, John Connolly County Chairman and the clubs first chairman and founder member Canon Tom Breen. Also in attendance were members of the first committee Jimmy Mc Kenna, Jimmy Treanor, Celestine mc Kenna and Sean Finn. Keep free 1st June for the official blessing and opening of our stand followed by a dance in St Mellans that night. Further details to follow.
Annual Presentation night took place in St. Mellans on Sat 16th Feb 2008. Newly weds were presented with inscribed Cavan Crystal lamps. Newly Wed Presentations went to Colin and Aine Kelly, Niall and Jennifer Mc Kenna, Mark and Roisin O’Reilly, Kieran and Patricia Feely, Pauric and Johanna Mc Kenna.
Our referees Damien Helferty and Frank Mc Kenna received Meal vouchers and Sean Treanor of Drumbriston Furniture then made the presentations to players of the year.
